Vieux Farka Toure - Mali

Vieux Farka Touré is a Malian singer, composer and guitarist renowned for his blend of Desert Blues, traditional Malian music and contemporary influences such as rock and reggae. Born in Niafunké, Mali, in 1981, he is the son of the influential guitarist Ali Farka Touré and began his own musical career in the early 2000s, developing a distinctive style rooted in West African musical heritage. Over the years he has released several acclaimed albums and collaborated with artists from around the world, continually expanding the reach of Malian music.

In 2008 he already took to the stage at the Afrika Festival Hertme and we very much look forward to welcoming him back again!
