Nina Ogot - Kenya

Nina Ogot is a Kenyan singer-songwriter, guitarist, and performer, born and raised in Nairobi, known for her distinctive blend of traditional Kenyan music and contemporary Afro-fusion sounds. She made her debut in 2008 with the acoustic album Ninairobi, and later released albums including Yote Yote (in collaboration with Benga artist Winyo) and Dala, followed by her fourth album Ukumbu.KE in 2024.

Her work is inspired by her Luo roots and other Kenyan musical traditions, combined with contemporary influences, and she sings primarily in Kiswahili and Dholuo. Ogot has performed at numerous international festivals and received the Kalasha Award for Best Original Score in 2011. In addition to her music career, she is also known as an actress and as a former television presenter and radio host.
